Another late post, another week closer to fifty-two. Sorry for the tardiness again, but I was up north visiting Allyse this last weekend and I just got back a few hours ago so here it is!
This last week, I got to go on a site visit for my work. I went with the executive director and project manager to a recycling center in Cudahy called Action Recyclers. They are the haulers for a hospital construction in Grafton and they’re taking in all the plastic waste from the site and doing a study on what comes off the site. We were supposed to go and document the plastics that come into their plant. It was pretty cool to see how they recycle all these different materials; I never knew how that worked. I was expecting it to smell like a dump, but it really had almost no smell since all they take in is construction waste. I brought my camera to do the documentation so it was a pretty good experience.
I went up to Allyse’s this weekend, and we had a really good time. It had been almost a month since I had seen her last so it was really good to spend some time together. We went to see the movie Grown Ups on Saturday night and that was pretty hilarious. We also started working on a pinata for her block party. I haven’t done paper mache in years so that really took me back 🙂
My chemistry class is coming to an end, so that’s exciting, I’ve been studying like crazy for the final so hopefully that’ll go alright.
This Wednesday marks Allyse’s and my two year anniversary, so keep a heads up next week for a post dedicated to my special girl 🙂 In the meantime, here’s a picture of her and her adorable puppy, Jake.
