It’s halftime at the big game between the Packers and the division rival Vikings. Gonna have to keep this quick because the game will be starting up again soon…GO PACKERS!
This weekend, my family was at my grandparents house doing some fall yardwork and celebrating my grandpa’s birthday and halloween. Our relatives from Minnesota came down for the weekend, as they always do for my grandpa’s birthday and it was really good to see them again. If only the weather would have cooperated with us a little better; we got stuck raking leaves and cleaning gutters in the rain. Either way, we got it all done and had fun doing it. After all the hard work was done we headed in for some cookie decorating and birthday presents and – of course – some heated games of ping pong. We didn’t get home until later, but I’d say it was a good way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
Came back this morning because I had schoolwork that needed to be finished up and spent about 4 hours over at school working on it. Even on the weekends there isn’t a break… We’re headed into Week 8, with plenty of momentum, and although the end of the quarter is in sight, it feels as though it’s quite a ways off still. I’m taking the Fundamentals of Engineering exam next weekend, the first step to becoming a licensed engineer. It’s kind of nerve wracking because its a long test (8 hours) and covers basically everything that we’ve learned at MSOE thus far. Should be an experience, hopefully everything goes alright, guess I’ll have more to write about that next week…
Game’s back on, so I guess that’s it for this week. This week’s picture is one of the pumpkins that we carved at my grandparents house. It’s kind of turned into an annual tradition to carve pumpkins at my grandparents house, and we look forward to it every year!
